Key updates include:
Data Management:
Save Import Tasks Without Immediate Scheduling or Data Import
Administrators can now configure and save data import tasks without needing to:
Schedule them immediately.
Trigger an actual data import during the task creation.
This new flexibility supports preparatory workflows and task delegation. The interface includes a save button that allows the task to be stored for future execution without assigning a scheduler or importing data at that time.
Data Connectivity:
Automatic Import of Scale Questions from Forsta Surveys (Decipher)
Forsta has added automation for importing scale questions when surveys include a rating on any question.
Key points:
These questions are automatically categorized as “scale” in Forsta Visualizations.
The survey's selected values become the factors for Categorical Mean calculations.
The import task offers an “Overwrite question type and mean value factors” setting to preserve survey-based classifications, even on repeated imports with unchanged metadata.
Project Administration:
MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) Improvements
Forsta has expanded its MFA options to include app-based authentication for Admins, with support for Microsoft Authenticator and similar apps.
Updates include:
A new Authentication Settings option under the account icon.
Setup instructions for connecting an app as a secondary security method.
Once an authenticator app is connected, it becomes the default method. However, users can still choose to authenticate via email if preferred.
Users can remove the authenticator and revert to email as the primary method at any time.
The interface guides users through the MFA setup with visual confirmations and manual entry options for QR code-based activation.
