Upload a PowerPoint template to customize slide exports in StoryCreator. The template overrides the theme's default layout and can also be displayed online as a slide background.
In the following image, the blue background at the top comes from the uploaded PPT template file.
1: Template Requirements
The template should meet the following requirements before being uploaded:
Contain a Cover page, a Template page used for rendering each slide, and a (optional) Last page. The uploaded template should contain only two or three slides.
Use one of the following file formats: PPT, PPTX, POT, POTX.
Slide format ratio should correspond with the report format ratio. (For example, if slide size of the report is 16:9, the slide size in the uploaded template should also be 16:9.)

The following text-tokens, used to insert text in the exported PowerPoint report, can be used:
[Project name] – Name of the project
[Report] – Name of the report
[Date] – Export date
Note: Tokens should be inserted in the normal slide view, not in the slide master.
2: Uploading a Template
To upload a template, open the Setup modal. In the EXPORT FORMAT panel, select Add new custom template. Select Choose File, then select the template to be used.
Name the template as appropriate, then select Add template.
Finally, select your template from the list. You can download or delete the template from this screen as well.
3: Using the Template Online
The second page in the PowerPoint template can be displayed online as a slide background. To display the template online, open the Setup modal. In the SLIDE LAYOUT TEMPLATES panel, select the Show PPT template as slide background option.
Note: Text boxes added to the second template slide using the slide master are displayed online. Text boxes added directly to slides are not displayed online.
