What is the Slide Panel?
The Slide Panel provides a detailed overview of StoryTeller reports and simplifies their setup.
Note: The Slide Panel is displayed in setup mode only and for administrators only. It is not displayed for Report users.
What are the Functionalities of the Slide Panel?
In the Slide Panel, you can:
Note: During the transition period, the ribbon menu will continue to contain the same options as before. For now, tasks such as adding slides, deleting slides, and copying slides can be done in both the Slide Panel and in the ribbon menu. In future, all slide related options will be available in the Slide Panel only.
Viewing the Slide Panel
To view the Slide Panel:
1. Go to the Portal Tabs page.
2. Click the Design/Preview button to open the Design/Preview page.
3. In the top menu of the Design/Preview page, click the report you wish to access the Slide panel for.
The Slide Panel will open on the left side.

If you don't see the Slide Panel, click the arrow in the left-side menu.

Using the Slide Panel
Saving the Slide Layout
1. Click the Save Layout button (item 1 above) in the top menu to save the changes to your current slide layout.
Exporting the Slides
1. Click the Export button (item 2 above) in the top menu.
2. Click the Generate PPT report button.
3. Wait a few seconds for the PPT report to generate.
4. Click the Download button to save the report to your device.
Note: By clicking the empty checkbox next to your report, you can Download selected or Deleted selected. This may be useful when managing multiple reports. You can also click the "My Exports page" text to see detailed information about your exported slides.
Creating New Slides
1. Click the New Slide button (item 3 above) in the top menu.
Importing slides
1. Click Import from another StoryTeller slide(s) in the top menu to open the Import Slides dialog shown as item 1 above.
2. In the Reports drop-down menu, select the report you wish to import slides from.
3. In the Slides area, select the slides you wish to import.
4. Click the Import button.
Duplicating Slides
1. Click the slide(s) you wish to duplicate; multiple slides can be selected by keeping the CTRL key pressed and left-clicking additional slides.
2. Click Duplicate in the top menu, shown as item 2 above.
Deleting Slides
1. Click the slide(s) you wish to delete; multiple slides can be selected by keeping the CTRL key pressed and left-clicking additional slides.
2. Click Deletebutton in the top menu shown as item 3 above
Cutting (Copying and then Deleting) Slides
1. Right-click the slide(s) you wish to cut (multiple slides can be selected by keeping the CTRL key pressed, left-clicking additional slides and then right-clicking).
2. Click Cut shown as item 4 above.
3. Right-click the slide you wish to place the copied slide(s) after and click Paste .
Tip:
As an example, if you wanted to paste the copied slide into position 8, you would right-click the slide in position 7 and click Paste slide.
Copying and Pasting Slides
1. Right-click the slide(s) you wish to copy (multiple slides can be selected by keeping the CTRL key pressed, left-clicking additional slides and then right-clicking).
2. Click Copy shown as item 5 above
3. Right-click the slide you wish to place the copied slide(s) after and click Paste .
Tip:
As an example, if you wanted to paste the copied slide into position 8, you would right-click the slide in position 7 and click Paste slide.
Resizing slides
1. Right-click the slide you wish to resize
2. Click Resize shown as item 6 above.
3. Enter the Width and Height values.
4. Click the Apply button.
Note: You cannot resize multiple slides simultaneously.
Note: The default PowerPoint slide size is 1280x720. If you attempt to make your slide bigger than this, the objects in the slide might be positioned outside the slide in PowerPoint.
Rearranging Slides
1. Right-click the slide you wish to rearrange.
2. Click Arrange (item 7 above)
3. Either select Arrange to specify a slide number to move to or select one of the predefined movement options.
Note: You cannot rearrange multiple slides simultaneously.
Renaming Slides
1. Right-click the slide you wish to rename.
2. Click Rename shown as item 8 above
3. Type the new name for the slide.
4. Press the Enter key.
