When the feature for setting access rights to ordinary Filters is active, the Filter variables of the project are included in the Excel template that can be downloaded for creating users. Each Filter variable is shown in a separate column in the Excel file as shown in the image below. The column headers are shown as “Code + Variable text.”
- By entering the text “Access to all” in a cell, the user gets access rights to all existing and future Filter options in the current variable
- By leaving a cell blank the user gets no access rights to any of the options
- By entering one or multiple answer ID’s (comma separated) the user gets access rights to those answer options only
- If a Filter column is missing in the imported Excel file, the users gets no access right to the missing Filter variable.
Providing User Access to "Own User"
By using the tag “own_user”, the user will get access to their “own” answer option automatically even if the user is new. The new “own_user” tag can be used on both new and existing users in the Excel upload of users.
The first image below shows the how the tag “own_user” is added in the “user” filter column in the uploaded Excel file.
The Second image shows an example of the result after upload, the user Rudy Bown got access to his own user in the User filter.
