In the Optional Filter setup, you can specify a minimum and maximum number of options the report user is allowed to select. This applies to the variable subset filter, the hierarchy filter and the regular filter.
The minimum and maximum settings support more customized dashboards built for certain use cases. The layout of a dashboard can be customized to compare a minimum of two brands
Example
In the following example comparing two brands, both the minimum and maximum limit in the brand filter menu is set to 2. Therefore, the user must always have two brands selected.
Setting up the minimum and maximum selection limits
The setup of the minimum and maximum selection limits can be done in both the Optional Filters and Hierarchical filters setup menus.
