How to Adjust the Tooltip?

1: Overview

A tooltip is a small pop-up box that appears when you hover over a chart element, such as a bar or line point. It helps you view detailed data without needing to click anything.

Tooltips can display:

• Weighted base

• Participant count

• Non-weighted base

The image below shows how a tooltip appears in a chart:

You can turn tooltip details on or off in the chart setup panel. Use the toggles to show or hide:

• Axis labels

• Legend labels

• Weighted base

• Non-weighted base

• Participant count

Note: The respondent count displays weighted data if your chart uses weights. If no weights are applied, it shows the unweighted count.

You can also choose what appears in the tooltip and whether to include Axis and/or Legend labels. By default, only Axis labels are shown.

The image below shows the options available for tooltip in the chart setup window.

3: Units in Tooltips

If your data series includes a unit (like a % symbol), that unit will also appear in the tooltip automatically.

The unit will automatically appear in the tooltip if it is shown in the series.

4: Tooltip Display Behavior

By default, each tooltip shows one result. To combine multiple results in a single tooltip—for example, in a trends chart—update the chart’s template design.
