The toolbar on the Generate table tab contains commonly used table settings. To see all available settings, see the Calculations tab.
1: Calculations
In the Categorical Calculations menu, select from calculations types (such as Percent (%), Count, Mean, and Sum) applicable to the question(s) displayed in the table.
More advanced calculations options such as Significance testing, Ranking, Correlation and Benchmarking are set in the Calculations tab.
2: Split Settings
The Splits menu enables you to choose whether the split variables should be nested (presented one under the other) or not nested (presented side-by-side). Additionally, you can select whether Totals and/or Subtotals should be displayed, and if so, where they should be placed.
3: Weight
Toggle weights on and off. If more than one weight variable is present in the project, the user will be able to choose which one to apply.
Note: If the user is not allowed to change between weighted and unweighted results, the Weight option is not displayed in the toolbar.
4: Number of decimals
Increase or decrease the number of decimal places displayed in the table by one decimal place.
Note: The setting for the number of decimal places affects only the results in the table, not the displayed base sizes..
5: Base Size
In the base size menu, the base size is turned on and off and the position changed. The weighted base size options are only available when calculation is weighted.
6: Decimal and thousand separators
Select which characters to use as the Decimal and Thousand separators.
7: Table Breaks
Inserting Table Breaks splits the table into individual tables (one per question) instead of presenting the questions as one large continuous table.
Note: To customize table break locations, use the Rows, Columns and Filters tab.
8: Table Key
In the Table key menu, select infoirmation to be displayed as desired. Options vary based on questions and calculations selected.
9: Displayed labels
Select if you want to display Question and Split Question texts and Question and Answer codes.
The below image shows a table with Question codes enabled: Q12, Q13 and Q3, Q5 are shown as prefixes to the question labels.
10: Hide empty series
In the Hide Empty series menu, you can hide date gaps, empty series and splits with "no data".
11: Transpose
The transpose function to transpose rows and columns is now available in the toolbar.
12: Formatting rules
Selecting the Formatting rules icon opens the Formatting rules panel.
In the Formatting rules panel, select Create rule, or you can Edit or Delete an existing rule.
Add criteria for the new rule from the Formatting rule editor panel. Then select Save.
Select Update Table to display the conditional formatting.
13: Export
Use the Export to Excel icon to export the charts.
